This photo shoot has to be my favorite so far. Veronica and Ryan Malloy welcomed their second baby boy to their family June 22, 2017 in Tampa, Florida. And let me tell you, he is SO cute and looks just like his big brother, Jayden.
Technically this wasn't a newborn shoot. Caleb was about one month old during this photo shoot. This added an extra challenge. Since Caleb wasn't a newborn, he was much more alert so it wasn't as easy to maneuver him into positions or have him sleep for a majority of the time. We had a list of shots to capture within a 1.5-2 hour window and it became tough to get him fed, diaper changed, outfit changes and asleep for certain photos.
Oh, and add on the challenge of a 5-year-old who did not want to take pictures. Here's how a lot of the photo shoot went. At least it makes for funny photos to look back on! Plus, it's a reminder about how real these photo shoots are.
Veronica knew exactly what she wanted, which worked great for me. Prior to the shoot, she sent over some inspiration pictures so when I got there we could get straight to work. This momma of two has got this parenting thing down pat. I loved being able to capture the sweet, tender moments of her with her boys. You can already tell how much they love having her as their mom.
There's just something about having a photo shoot in your own home with your family. Being able to share their real story by documenting moments like this is what I love most about my job.
